Hello everyone! Over here in the States, it is a holiday weekend and I'm going away on a short trip. I just wanted to let you know, as there won't be any updates to the site until next Tuesday or Wednesday. Thanks for understanding and have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Well, thanks to sldaly, we have a really neat new addition to the site. Check out the fabulous Skywalker family tree she put together! It's very thorough and well done, and a great reference! If you're concerned about EU spoilers, you might not want to check it out (though there really aren't any recent spoilers on it) - just in case! I've added the family tree under the "More" section on the nav bar if you're looking for it in the future. Thanks so much, sldaly!

A huge thanks to Marie-Claude for bringing this totally awesome video from the Official Site to my (and now your) attention. It's a great look at the filming of two Revenge of the Sith Padme scenes, one with the Green Robe, the other with the Veranda Nightgown.

I really like it because it not only shows behind the scenes things like them messing with Natalie's hair and makeup and Natalie practicing out of costume, but it really shows how important the costumes were during filming. I've read multiple articles from Star Wars actors who couldn't praise the costumes in the prequels enough, not only because they were gorgeous, but because they were the only connection the actors had to this world they were trying to create. And seeing all the green in the video, I think it's really clear how invaluable the amazing work of Trisha Biggar and her team must have been. So, fun stuff. Thanks, Marie-Claude! Oh, and if anyone is feeling so motivated and would like to make some screencaps of that video, I'll owe you big time.

So I have a Padme update today, to the Wedding Dress page! It's nothing major, but some larger, better quality versions of old pictures:

Concept 1, Concept 2, Concept 3 - These were all done by Dermot Power who I think is just amazing. And while I love the wedding dress that was made, I think the second design would have made a gorgeous dress as well!

Promo - I love this picture!

I have gone through all my other Padme costume folders as well, so I'll be doing more updates like this one for a while. Though we don't have tons of new Padme pictures anymore, I'm trying to make the galleries the best they can be and it's always good to revisit Padme's beautiful costumes. And even though I'm going to keep on adding new characters too, I do still want the main focus on the site to be on Padme!

And while I haven't found a new Padme promo pic in years it seems, Leia promo pictures keep popping up all over the place. Here's the latest one (and a high-res version) I've found. Cute!

As it is a new month, we have new calendars! Thanks to Marie Claude and Annarwaya for their beautiful creations! And Annarwaya has also made this fabulous calendar for the entire year. Just lovely!

Hey guys! Again, thanks for your patience the past few weeks. It was a hectic holiday season for me but things are calming down. I hope you all had a great holiday season!

As promised, here is tonight's update: Han Solo screenshots. I love him, especially in this picture. I still have the Anakin screenshots to do too, so those will be up next.

Also, I wanted to point out Yahoo's Worst Hairstyles in Movies, as it features three appearances by our ladies Padme and Leia. Obviously the list is stupid (as Legolas was and still is hot) but I thought it was funny!

Again, I had a few issues with the site... if you stopped by earlier, you would have found a completely white page with one word "hi". It was kind of odd and I'm not entirely sure how it happened... but things are better now! Sorry about that... I'll update tomorrow!

Two more desktop calendars tonight - the first from Marie Therese and the second from Vaiwa (hers is in German, which is neat!) Great job, both of you! I love how they both independently used the same Padme picture to very different effects. Very cool!

And also, I've added the behind the scenes picture for ANH Han. There are some really great pictures, including this and this. Adorable!

Anyways, this means I only have to finish up screenshots for both Anakin and Han and I'll be finished with them (they've been taking forever since they wear the same costume for an entire movie basically). I haven't decided what character to add next, so feel free to make any suggestions in the comments!

Thanks to the wonderfully talented Shannon, Gina, Christine and Eleonora, I've updated the Fan Costumes page tonight. All four ladies sent in pictures of themselves in their fabulous costumes and it's definitely worth checking the pictures out! And remember, if you've made a Star Wars costume (doesn't even have to be a Padme costume!) and you'd like to have your pictures posted, email me!

Thanks again to those four! I'm working on finishing up the Anakin and Han pages, so I will have those done this week hopefully!

Things are back to normal here and I'm happy to be able to update again! Thank you very much to everyone for your patience and understanding. It made a stressful time much easier!

Courtesy of the contest winner, Stephanie, I am happy to debut our beautiful new winter banner and color scheme! (If you can't see it, try refreshing your browser a few times or clearing your cache). It actually snowed for the first time today where I am, so it seemed especially fitting to add it today!
