Star Wars: Fit for a Queen

Attack of the Clones: In acknowledgement of the gravity of her situation, Padmé wears a somber gray gown while preparing to leave Coruscant. And though the dress has a beautifully decorated corset and a delicate headpiece (which feature Naboo emblems), it also acknowledges the seriousness of the recent assassination attempts. The thick overskirt hides a blast-damping underskirt, and the corset is made of light armor, making the dress elegant yet functional.

Design: The Packing Gown was yet another costume featuring vintage details. The double-breasted velvet vest was enhanced using a center panel of vintage turquoise-and-white beading with gold metallic embroidery. The silver-colored metal armbands were also inset with small turquoise stones. The blouse itself was made from shot-silk chiffon and the skirt from dark gray double cloth. The simple, three-part headress was made from pewter and turquoise pendants decorated with Naboo emblems hanging from vintage silver chains.
